Will masking tape damage the wall?

Masking tape will not normally peel off the wall if used correctly. The adhesive in masking tape is specially formulated to have good viscosity and peelability, so it will not damage the wall when pasted on the wall.

To avoid sticking off the wall, the following points should be noted when using masking tape:

Control the force when pasting and avoid pulling the tape too much, because excessive pulling can easily cause the tape to be loose or cracked, causing the paint to penetrate and drip on the wall.
When removing the masking tape, you should first press the edge of the tape with your fingers, and then slowly tear it off along the angle of the wall. Do not pull it all at once, but slowly remove it bit by bit.

Before using the masking tape, make sure the surface of the construction object is clean. When the paint is slightly dry, you can gently tear off the masking tape. If you don't know how to judge the dryness of the paint, you can peel it off within 12-24 hours.

In addition, it is also a good idea to choose a weakly sticky masking tape, which can be easily pulled up and completely removed from the wall without any impact on the wall.

In general, as long as the masking tape is used and operated correctly, it will not cause damage to the wall. But please note that if there are quality problems with the wall itself, such as loose wall skin, you still need to be extra careful when using masking tape.
